Dr. Hye Keum Son joined Care Animal Hospital in July, 2007. She was born and raised in Korea, then graduated from high school in Argentina. Dr. Son received her bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Denver before going on to earn her D.V.M. from Colorado State University's School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science. Prior to joining Care, Dr. Son completed an internship in small animal internal medicine and surgery. In addition, she has completed 140 hours of continuing education in medical acupuncture for pets. Dr. Son is also fluent in Korean and Spanish.

Away from work, Dr. Son enjoys spending time with her two cats, Kkoma and Agga, as well as snowboarding and rock climbing.
